Before this issue,I was ready to give 5stars to this company but hmmm hmmm I was really disappointed .....I used Getaround since September until January to do Uber...For me it was the best rental ever because you don’t have to pay a deposit, they don’t do credit check and you don’t have to waiste your time on a long line,customer service is on point,very polite....I recently had a car accident,I was waiting on the red light and a Spanish guy hit me in the back and just left and quickly I followed him to make him stop and called the police.....After I was talking to my lawyer I decided to pay the car damage although it was not my fault after my therapy I didn’t want to stay home without nothing to do,I called them to let them know I want to pay the estimated fees because it was the only one job that I had (full-time Uber) they sent me to the claim department and they said the guy insurance should come first to see the car...That is non sense,completely ridiculous because I wanted to book another car and it wasn’t my fault I explained them everything they still don’t want me to pay the fees,they paralyzed all my activities so now I have to looking for another rental car for Uber or another job. The website does not actually provide any guidelines as to what kinds of cars can be ren… Customer service said they had EMAILED us saying the car is not drivable. Don’t rent out a car before the car has been returned (for context I had rented the car 2 hours before pick up time)! Additionally, the rental rates are much lower than many other car share services (obviously depending on the type of car rented).
