calistoga spa hot springs yelp

My wife and I stayed at Calistoga Spa Hot Springs and we had a blast, we visited during spring and the weather was not the best but with the hot pools we still had a great time. However, I should note that it has improved for the last few years. It was our first time going to something like this so we didn't really know what to expect. Two of the gals were staying overnight so I did get to see the room. The con is many families traveled in large groups so there was a lot of movement and conversations late into the evening. The experience was rushed and choppy. Love the motel, but something is systemically you with the women at the front desk.Spent the day here with a group of my friends. yelp pictures and posts don't do this justice. For those that may not like warm baths this may not be your thing. It was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and everything went as smoothly as possible! After that I enjoyed relaxing in the pools with my fiancé. "Amazing place! With any treatments you are entitled to use all their hot mineral pools, and for $118 for a one hour deep tissue massage and an afternoon of lounging in their pool area - I thought this was a great deal. With  spa service you can use the pool area as well. When we arrived and checked in they basically escorted us to our side of the restrooms/locker rooms and showed us where some things were and said to meet outside by the tubs in the robe. My massage therapist was Leo and he gave me a relaxing and delightful massage. Can't give this place a bad review HOWEVER must say that I have huge issue with the fact that…""First off, let me start by saying we were only here for one night on the maiden voyage with our "new" (1976 Wilderness) trailer before the BIG trip next week (we only live about 30 miles away). Apparently they have renovated both the spa and the rooms. My expectations are always a tad high but the fake flowers at the desk sealed the deal.

Big hot lounging tub. Didn't spend the night so I can't comment on the hotel it self. The afternoon began with a phenomenal lunch at Sams Social Club. There is a nice lawn area too to walk around a bit and stretch your legs, lots of parking…""Absolutely loved this place. Contact the business for more information about recent service changes. How late are the pools open if you are a guest of the hotel?Wine not mix it up? I came with a bachelorette party and they were able to accommodate us quickly to have massages simultaneously. The massage itself was ok. Calistoga is a hidden gem of a location - a beautiful, walkable town where you can feel right at home while being on vacation.I've had the chance to have many mud and mineral baths so I'm somewhat spoiled! We were early for their normal season…"Escape to the beauty of Napa Valley Wine Country and enjoy our affordable Calistoga, California resort-style hotel and spa.Love this place. In addition to the mud baths and spa services there are three mineral pools, with one being a swimming pool kept at around 80 degrees. After years and years of coming, nothing changes. Cleaning staff and pool people amazing. If you book a treatment, the guest pass is $25 or free if you are staying at the hotel.Calistoga spa, I have been here several times, " Afrain," A male masseuse, that is employed here, I have used him every time, please, ask for him, he's awesome, different massages, different prices, awesome individual! So let me start with the good.

My friend made sure I got my massage because it was a birthday trip but it was pretty awkward knowing I was getting a massage as she sat around and waited for me. What to do (and not do) in SF's wine country I've had mud baths at several other establishments, but keep returning here.Love this place! The staff is very friendly and accommodative now. What to do (and not do) in SF's wine country What a nice Christmas this is turning out to be.The rooms were clean, although a little run down. I was glad we did. So when I did go ask for towels and robes they acted as though it was a tremendous inconvenience to them. But I was pleasantly surprised. There were no extra blankets or anything to help warm us up. They have a mud bath area that costs extra. Instead, she handled us as though her only concern was to get us in and get us out. We arrived at around 4pm on…""My husband and I had already spent 5 days in Healdsburg when we decided to stay an…""My partner and two best friends stayed here this past weekend for my partners…"Upvalley Inn & Hot Springs, Ascend Hotel Collection

No warning ahead of arrival. I chose a one hour massage. For $500 a night, I was expecting an elegant spa. They don't let children under 4 in the pool, so if you have a child under 4, this place is not good for you. Well no more will I return there. The massage therapist asked where I have the most tense muscles and I pointed it out to her and she did some work!

After I got out of the shower another woman was complaining about them losing her glasses and we both shared very concerning stories . Rude receptionists with a horrible attitude. The treatments were great as well! After departing such an opulent, 'yes, this is California' spa resort, I was a little underwhelmed upon arrival to Calistoga Hot Springs. Bring a bottle of wine, food, etc., go as you please, it's an awesome place for a massage and at your leisure! The mud was at a great temperature and everything was immaculately clean!!! Driving in you get the feeling of some sort of motel experience, as referenced by other reviews. 5 stars all the way around""My first review ever - bear with me! I'd give it a higher rating if the front desk staff was a little more hospitable. No magazines, no warm and fuzzy feeling to relax you prior to your treatments.

Some of the other services that they offered , like the mud pools and massages cost extra. The pools and hot springs are nice and very inviting. The facilities are clean and pretty, the staff is nice and the pools are spectacular. But the rooms are definitely motel-like. We really enjoyed our mud bath experience and recommend it for visitors.
