Disneyland: Avengers Campus-Nearing completion but with the theme parks still closed no word on opening date. )At the Avengers Campus, you’ll also find Pym’s Test Kitchen — as in the Pym from Ant-Man and the Wasp who can shrink people and things down to sub-atomic size … and then blow them up to gigantic proportions. I'm not surprised that this won't open prior to July 4th given the slow progress of construction over last summer and fall. There will be an all-heights ride-through Spider-Man attraction called “Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure” that I’ve seen described as similar to Toy Story Mania! It makes me wonder that if Disney could use Spider-man's name, why they went with this odd WEB Slinger as the main part of the ride name, and not just call it "Spider-man's WEB Slinger" or something like that.

My understanding was that Universal's license would not allow for a direct reference to a character that they hold the theme park rights to East of the Mississippi. Strange show, the breakdowns went out this week & it's under the AGVA agreement (American Guild of Variety Artist), which also covers theme park shows, so that's a good sign it will be more than just a plussed interactive meet & greet style show! I still have an open mind about the project, so perhaps I'll be surprised by the ride and show. Perhaps it is time to change Rob McCullough's ride-naming template to "EVERY NAME: Has Another Name - The Ride!" The Doctor Strange show is going to be the Jedi Academy-style show that Disney did at Disney World and on the DCL, from what I hear. Avengers Campus will open on July 18, 2020 and its new ride will be called "A blend of physical, fully dimensional sets and virtual environments will take recruits on this interactive escapade, which includes animation, moving props and special effects," Disney said in its press release. I’m glad Disney finally announced an official date for Avengers Campus. However, from the rumors I’ve heard, I’m very excited for the little shows within the land.
