This book was like a bad horror movie that you watch over and over and over again because you are just so Hooked. The Return is an exception. First What is it with me and accidentally picking tooth-horror? Rachel Harrison's debut novel is scary as hell and as great a monster/haunted hotel story I've ever read. by Over the top, campy, cheesy, gruesome, crazy, entertaining. I wake up with them every morning, carry them around all day like a lead backpack, and I fall asleep with them at night. The plot for The Return sounds promising. This is a great escapist social distancing/quarantine read. It was a CHORE to finish it. by Berkley This is a horror debut novel written by a woman! Julie is missing, and the missing don’t often return. Julie has been missing for two years and presumed dead, but now she has returned.
